Hello, I was on internet looking at news and then I saw this video which catched my attention and I decided to watch carefully. Why catched my attention? Because I am interested in the topic of what I eat and how I can improve the way I eat to improve my health and reduce the possibilities of having an illness that is related to my lifestyle.
I have also friends that are vegans or vegetarians which really believe they are doing the right thing, is something I respect, but when I listen to them, observe how they live and I try to apply their logic to all the humans in the world there is something that is not so solid with that idea. Then I saw this video...

While I was watching the video I realized that this guy, Gary Yourofsky, has really good points to stop eating animal flesh and I've been thinking about this possibility for myself but he was still doing something that my vegan friends can't answer and I think is crucial for the success of their theory.
Nevertheless, this guy was a little bit more aggressive in his arguments with resources like: "the Holocaust of Animals is bigger than the Jewish Holocaust", which is tough but completely understandable when you want to put the problem into something more tangible context, and also the idea that "the Nazis learned how to kill humans just by applying the techniques that we use to kill animals", which can be true, but it made me realize that he is assuming that a human life is equal to a animal life because he's not distinguishing in types of living things, right?
So Let's forget, for a moment, this comparisons and try to get the best of this. We can learn a lot from him about the way we eat, is good he wants to makes us better persons and I also agree in that a lot of things that we eat we don't need them but the question for me that makes me not be sure about the theory of "Veganism" as way of life is this
What if animals are not the only living beings that can feel when they are dying?
What if plants also feel when they die?
Just because we don't hear them that doesn't mean that they are not screaming and we all know plants are also living beings.
You can read this articles about this idea:
Under the logic:
Human = Animal
because both are living beings, then:
Plants = Animals = Humans = Bacterias
Conclusion:
In this hypothetical thought ,then we should also protect the right of plants and stop eating at all to not produce some kind of pain...
Makes sense?
NO!
In fact, we are all living beings and we must respect all kinds of living forms, including disgusting humans, there is no way of one species to exist without producing pain into another one, it's just they way it is and it is going to be with or without us.
And even though that Gary Yourofsky says that Humans are the worst thing that this world can experience and he puts layers of "Good" Humans and "Bad" Humans, which is the same that the nazis did with the Jewish people, then we should change the focus of this idea, get the good concepts and apply them into a more constructive way.
Instead of divide humans just because what we eat. We should be discussing
How we consume things?
and
How we can improve our food production techniques?
while we are in this world.
How we can educate people to be aware of what they are doing?
and give them tools to decide by themselves and as a society the best way of existence.
What do you think?
